EOI 05-2025/26 The Shire of East Pilbara invites Expressions of Interest for the purchase and removal of redundant mining equipment items located at the Newman Visitor Centre. Respondents shall provide a lump sum offer for the purchase of the equipment, and shall be responsible for all costs associated with dismantling (if required), lifting, loading, transport, freight, permits, disposal and/or salvage of the equipment. These items are sold on an ‘as is, where-is’ basis, with no warranty as to condition, operability or completeness. Respondents can submit an Offer for one item only or alternatively for both items.

The Shire of East Pilbara invites Tenders from suitably qualified and aviation experienced Contractors to manage and maintain the operational, airside, landside and terminal facilities at the Newman Airport, in accordance with the Tender documentation.

Shire of East Pilbara Notice of Intention to Levy Differential Rates 2026/27 In accordance with section 6.36 of the Local Government Act 1995, the Shire of East PiIbara gives notice of its intention to impose the following differential rates and minimum payments on rateable property for the 2026/27 financial year.

The Shire of East Pilbara proposes to make the “Shire of East Pilbara Fencing Local Law 2026”. The purpose of this local law is to introduce a discretionary approval mechanism enabling the Shire to consider industrial dividing and boundary fencing that do not comply with clause 2.10(3) and (4) of the Shire of East Pilbara Fencing Local Law 2011.

The Shire of East Pilbara advises that there will be a temporary road closure and altered traffic conditions on Saturday, 6 December, from 5:00pm to 9:00pm. This is to accommodate the Shire’s Christmas event taking place in Newman Town Square.

The Shire of East Pilbara and BHP would like to announce two major events coming to Newman: • BHP End of Year Event (Private Event): Saturday, 22 November 2025. • Party in the Park (Free Community Event): Sunday, 23 November 2025. Both events will be held at Kangaroo Oval, Fortescue Avenue, and will feature live music, rides, and entertainment.
