REQUEST FOR TENDER – RFT 13-2026/27

The Shire of East Pilbara invites Tenders for the hire of a tracked mobile slow-speed shredder to process a legacy wood pallet/timber stockpile located in the southern portion of the Newman Refuse Site.

The objective is to undertake shredding works on an as-needed basis to reduce the existing timber stockpile into a compactable product, while collecting reliable performance and cost data to support future shredding and landfill optimisation planning. Indicative quantities for tendering purposes:

• Stockpile footprint: Approx. 1.2 – 1.4 ha;
• Average height: Approx. 4 m;
• Volume: Approx. 50,000 m³;
• Indicative mass: Approx. 10,000 tonnes (conservative assumption); and
• Indicative shredding hours: Approx. 500 hours (based on ~20 t/hr).

The lowest or any Tender not necessarily accepted. Canvassing of Elected Members and Staff will disqualify Tenderers from the RFT process.
