Public Participation
Ratepayers and other members of the community are invited to attend and participate in Council Meetings at the Shire of East Pilbara, which are usually held on the fourth Friday of each month. Members of the public may ask questions in Public Question Time. A copy of the Public Question Time Form is available for download here.

Committee Terms of Reference
Council has established the Audit Committee and CEO Performance Review Committee. These committees provide advice to Council and have no delegation of power. The terms of reference for each Committee may be accessed here.

Council Workshops and Agenda Briefing Sessions Register
The Shire maintains a public register of Agenda Briefing Sessions and Council Workshops in accordance with Council's Agenda Briefing Sessions and Council Workshops Policy.
The register promotes transparency by disclosing the matters discussed and attendance at each session, and will be published on the Shire’s website and updated following each session.

Notice is given in accordance with regulation 12(2) of the Local Government (Administration) Regulations 1996 that the location for the Ordinary Council Meeting scheduled for 28 August 2026 has been changed from Kunawarritji to the Newman Council Chambers.
