You may be eligible to be enrolled to vote in the local government elections on 18 October 2025 if you live in or are an owner or occupier of rateable property in the Shire of East Pilbara.

Local Public Notice is given of the proposed disposal of land in accordance with section 3.58(3) of the Local Government Act 1995, by the Shire of East Pilbara by way of a Lease in the following terms: Property: Part Reserve 44775 being land more particularly described as lot 571 on deposited plan 71045 and being the whole of the land comprised in Crown Land Certificate of Title Volume LR3161 Folio 365; specifically, portions of Land comprising Lease Area 17, Area 18, Kiosk Lease Area 31, and Lease Areas 36 and 37.

The Shire of East Pilbara and the Newman Lions Club announces that the 2025 Outback Fortescue Festival will take place from Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 August 2025, at Capricorn Oval, Fortescue Avenue in Newman. The event is expected to draw around 2,000 residents and will feature live music and a fireworks display.

Statewide Public Notice is given of the intention of the Shire of East Pilbara to adopt a Regional Price Preference Policy in accordance with regulation 24E of the Local Government (Functions and General) Regulations 1996. The Regional Price Preference Policy will apply to the local government districts of East Pilbara, Ashburton, Port Hedland and Karratha. The proposed policy may be inspected at the Newman and Marble Bar offices of the Shire of East Pilbara or by visiting the Shire’s website: www.eastpilbara.wa.gov.au.

In accordance with section 6.36 of the Local Government Act 1995, the Shire of East PiIbara gives notice of its intention to impose the following differential rates and minimum payments on rateable property for the 2025/26 financial year.
