As part of the Shire of East Pilbara's Strategic Community Plan 2018-2028, "to build connected and accessible communities", section of Bamboo Creek Road, Warrawagine Road, Muccan - Shay Gap Road, Yarrie Access Road, Boreline Road and Punmu Road have been scheduled for 2021/2022 road and maintenance works.

The road and maintenance works are spread over an extensive area in often extreme remote areas subjected to severe heat, weather events and isolation.

These works will consist of the following:

  • Gravel Sheeting
  • Reconstruct road formation
  • Maintenance Grading
  • Reshape/Form table drains and offshoot drains
  • Minor Clearing
  • Source gravel from burrow pits, including clearing, topsoil stripping, removal of overburdened and associated rehabilitiation

Please note that general road maintenance is performed as required, with activities such as road grading put on a scheduled roster for the year.

All queries and requests relating to roads, drainage and infrastructure should be directed through the Shire Administration office where one of our Customer Service officers will record and lodge a customer request.

The matter will be investigated and prioritised according to the urgency and nature of works.
