This year’s 2025 NAIDOC Ball promises to be one of the best, ever held.

Being entertained by the Indigenous band Struggling Kings, First Nations youth can enjoy the stunning fashions by Kirrikin as they parade for the crowd, MC and comedy offered by the master, Sean Choolburra, and incredible bush tucker and a decadent mocktail bar.

The event kicks off at 6.30pm on Saturday, 28 June 2025, at the East Pilbara Arts Centre and promises to be an evening of celebration and recognition of First Nations peoples, businesses, and organisations.

More than 200 guests are expected at this year’s NAIDOC Ball.

Shire President Anthony Middleton said, "The NAIDOC Ball represents an opportunity for the community to come together and celebrate the rich heritage, resilience, and contributions of First Nations peoples."

"It's an event to celebrate diversity and achievements in the community and pave the way for a more inclusive future. Mark your calendars, and join us in the celebration and achievements of First Nations peoples, businesses, and organisations at the 2025 NAIDOC Ball.

“This year, we have a range of new activities on offer, like the Floral Art Masterclasses before the ball, where community members can learn from floral creators to create everlasting floral chandeliers and totems which will be on display at the ball and future events.”

“We will also have the official opening of the NAIDOC Exhibition at Martumili on the night.”

A 360 Photo Booth will also be there on the night, along with  Caricatures by The Art of Comics.

“Through our collective efforts, we can forge a future where the stories, traditions, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities are cherished and celebrated, enriching the nation's fabric with the oldest living culture in the world,” Cr Middleton said.

This year's NAIDOC Week also offers the opportunity for people to nominate outstanding members of the First Nations community, the unsung heroes of the East Pilbara, and ensure that their contributions are celebrated.

The Shire of East Pilbara NAIDOC recognitions are about shining a spotlight on the unsung heroes of East Pilbara and ensuring that their contributions are celebrated. Any member of the community can nominate someone or a business.

Book for yourself or secure a table for your crew – and get ready for an unforgettable night of connection, recognition, and celebration.

The NAIDOC Ball is proudly presented by the  Shire of East Pilbara, with support from Fortescue, BHP, Onsite Rental Group, NorthWest Alliance, Cleanaway and Warrikal.
