The Newman Art Studio has officially reopened its doors, with the first ceramics workshops selling out in record time. All 48 tickets for the October workshops with Petra’s Pottery were snapped up within just two hours of going live.
The revitalised Art Studio, located next to Newman Library, has been transformed into a space for creativity, learning, and connection. The sell-out workshops are the first in a program of activities designed to bring the community together and encourage people of all ages to explore new skills.
Shire President Cr Anthony Middleton said the response exceeded all expectations.
“The fact these workshops sold out in two hours shows how much our community values spaces like the Art Studio. It’s more than just a building it’s a place for people to come together, try something new, and celebrate the arts in Newman.”
For those who missed out, a waitlist has been activated. Residents are also encouraged to follow the Shire’s Humanitix page to be the first to know when new events are announced.
