The Shire of East Pilbara, with funding from BHP, is preparing a Development Strategy for the improvement of the Newman Town Centre.
The Shire invites the community to provide feedback on the draft concept plan.
The plan includes:
- Landscape improvements
- A variety of land uses
- Parking
- Road design
- Pedestrian paths
Your feedback will help to finalise the plan and the strategies and actions to revitalise the Town Centre.
It would be great if you could spare a few minutes to chat to the Shire’s consultants on the project, Taylor Burrell Barnett at the Listening Post (refer details below).

If you are unable to attend the Listening Post, the Draft Development Strategy, will be available for public comment in the third quarter of 2021 via the Shire’s website.
