Do you have?

  • Demonstrated experience in, and knowledge of, emergency management legislation, regulation and practises with particular emphasis on cyclones, bushfires and floods

  • Experience in leading a small team to achieve identified objectives and outcomes

  • Experience in working with indigenous people and knowledge of their beliefs and customs as they relate to the execution of the prescribed duties

  • Relevant Emergency Management qualifications from a recognised Tertiary Institution

  • Completion of a Fire Control Officer's course or similar qualifications and experience

  • Current Western Australia 'C' Class Drivers Licence

To be successful in this role, you will have well-developed interpersonal, conflict resolution as well as verbal and written communication skills. You will have organisational and time management skills with the ability to effectively and efficiently manage resources. You will possess initiative to work unsupervised, positively influence community compliance in an ethical manner and adhere to confidentiality provisions of the role.
