Wild Dogs

Wild dogs have continued to cause issues east of Newman.
These dogs have injured and destroyed livestock and could pose a potential threat to people and pets. If a wild dog is sighted, please restrain and remove any animal you may have with you at the time. These dogs are extremely territorial. Do not approach or feed them.
Dog owners must ensure their dogs are registered and wearing registration and identification tags. All dogs must be adequately contained to a property and on leads when in public. Rangers will be actively patrolling the area in an attempt to locate and deal with the offending dogs accordingly as per the Dog Act 1976.
Please report any sightings to the Shire of East Pilbara Rangers on (08) 9175 8000.
