Nullagine Australia Day Celebrations Postponed

The Shire of East Pilbara wishes to advise that planned Australia Day celebrations in Nullagine have been postponed at the request of community leaders out of respect for the funeral of a well-known community member being held this weekend. An alternative celebration will be held in the near future.

Please note that Australia Day events in Newman and Marble Bar remained unchanged.

For those considering attending either of these planned celebrations the details are below:

Newman

• 9.00 am: Australia Day Breakfast and Citizenship Ceremony - Newman Aquatic Centre
• 11.00 am-5.00 pm: Pool Party- Newman Aquatic Centre
• 6.00 pm: Paper Planes Movie Screening – Newman Recreation Centre
• 8.00 pm: Australia Day fireworks - Capricorn Oval

Marble Bar

• 8:30 am: Australia Day breakfast - Marble Bar Aquatic Centre
