The Active Living Program has officially launched, and the energy from the community has been truly inspiring. The launch event was filled with smiles, conversation, and excitement as residents came together to celebrate a new opportunity to move more, connect, and prioritise their wellbeing.
The strong turnout and positive response highlight just how much our community values staying active and healthy together. With the program now underway, participants are already beginning their Active Living journey and making the most of the facilities and activities on offer.
Active Living is a FREE community program designed to support people of all ages and abilities to build healthy, active habits in a welcoming and inclusive environment. With access to up to four complimentary sessions each week, participants can enjoy a variety of activities that suit their interests, fitness levels, and schedules.
Throughout the program, participants will have access to a range of local shire facilities, including the Aquatic Centre and the Newman Recreation Centre. Activities include swimming, gym access, group fitness classes, and casual sports, providing something for everyone. This structured monthly schedule encourages safe, consistent participation while making great use of community facilities.
The Active Living Program runs throughout Term 1, from 2 February to 19 April 2026, with one pass available per person and complimentary visits offered each week. Gym access is available during designated day-entry hours, supporting safe and enjoyable use of facilities.
Proudly supported by Healthway and the Shire of East Pilbara, the Active Living Program reflects a shared commitment to community health, connection, and wellbeing.
