David has been a long-term East Pilbara resident and even worked for the Shire for 13 years. David has previously worked for BHP and held senior positions in Human Resources. He arrived in Newman in 1978.
He believes this background has provided him with valuable insights into community expectations and needs. He has actively campaigned for business growth in the region and is a strong supporter of crime prevention strategies in the Shire. David serves as a Deputy Member of the Audit Committee. Now retired, he feels that this allows him to dedicate more time as a passionate advocate for the Shire of East Pilbara.
