Community Assistance Grants
Grants and Sponsorship
The Shire of East Pilbara’s Grant and Sponsorship programs are available for individuals and organisations to support initiatives which celebrate diversity and inclusion within our community.
Before applying for a Grant and/or Sponsorship from the Shire please make sure you read over the Grants and Sponsorship Guidelines to ensure you meet the Selection Criteria and Eligibility.
Grants and Sponsorship Guidelines

All applications must be applied for online via the Shire’s Smarty Grants portal.
Community Grants OPEN NOW
Community Grants are designed to provide applicants with funding to deliver initiatives that foster collaboration, target specific cohorts within the community, address and identified gap and create opportunities for applicants to become sustainable.
Community Grants open on the 1st March 2024 and close 30th April 2024.

Small Grants
The Small Grants program is designed to assist in the delivery of small-scale initiatives that provide a direct benefit to our community.

Event and Activation Program
The Event and Activation program is designed to assist applicants to deliver an event and/or activation initiatives to help promote vibrant and connected communities.

Participation Grant
The Participation Grant program is designed to provide opportunities for community members to develop professionally in the areas of art, culture, sport education, social development or inclusion at Regional, State, National and International levels.

In-Kind Support Program
The In-Kind Support program is designed to provide opportunities for applicants to deliver initiatives that encourage identified target groups to thrive and have their needs met at all ages and stages of life. The purpose is to increase the capacity of local community groups to provide free or low cost initiatives to community members.

Sponsorship
Sponsorship is designed to provide applicants with financial assistance for initiatives that have a direct economic impact on the Shire of East Pilbara and will attract increased numbers of people to the Shire. The purpose of the Sponsorship program is to increase the dwell time visitors spend within the region and increase capacity and production of local businesses.
Sponsorship applications open all year round, and must be submitted at least two months prior to the initiative/event start date.
