Chasing Tracks Quest Join Newman’s first Reconciliation Quest, as you yanganmarna jina (chasing tracks) through Newman.

The Quest is fun for the whole family or can be completed by yourself, as a group of friends or work colleagues!

Throughout the Quest, you will explore some of Australia’s shared histories and local Cultural heritage, stories and language.

How do I join the Quest?
To join the Quest, you will need to download the TurfHunt App on an Apple or Android Device.
Alternatively, manual packs can be collected from Newman Visitors Centre, Newman Library or Martumili Artists.

When is the best time to complete the Quest?
To complete all locations, the Quest is best done during the following times: Monday to Friday: 10:00 am to 5:00 pm Saturday: 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Is the App compatible with my device?
TurfHunt is available for Android and iOS devices, and is compatible with the following:

  • Apple iPhone iOS version 10.0 through to the latest operating system (iOS)
  • Android version 4.3 through to the latest Android operating system (OS)
  • Apple iPads with mobile network connectivity/sim card (WiFi-only models are not compatible with games)

What age group is the Quest suitable to?
The Quest is suitable for most age groups. It would be recommended that an adult is part of the team for primary school-aged children.

How does a team complete the Quest?
A team will work together on one device when completing the Quest.
