Terms and Conditions

1. These Terms and Conditions apply to the Shire of East Pilbara Library Survey. The Shire of East Pilbara (“the Promoter”) can be contacted on 08 9175 8000.
2. The Promotion commences at 8am AWST on Monday 7 November 2022 and closes at 11:59pm AWST on Friday 25 November 2022 (the “Promotional Period”).

Entry into the Promotion

1. Entry is open only to respondents who complete the Shire of East Pilbara survey in its entirety and only one entry per completed survey will go into the draw for the prize (each, an “Entrant”).
2. The Shire of East Pilbara has sole and unfettered discretion to determine the result in the event of any uncertainty or dispute.
3. The Shire of East Pilbara reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and Entrants and reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify anyone who The Shire of East Pilbara has reason to believe has not or does not comply with any of these Terms and Conditions, has tampered with the entry process or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the Promotion. Failure to enforce any of its rights at any time does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
4. If this Promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Shire of East Pilbara, including but not limited to technical difficulties, unauthorised intervention or fraud, the Shire of East Pilbara reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law:
              a) to disqualify any Entrant;
              b) subject to any directions required from a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the Promotion, as appropriate
5. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the State of Western Australia and the Commonwealth of Australia and each survey participant agrees to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts thereof.

The Competition

1. There are two prizes, each a $100 voucher to Hilditch Pharmacy.
2. How to enter: to enter the competition, each entrant must, during the Competition Period complete the Shire of East Pilbara Newman Public Library Survey.
3. The prize draw will take place at 12.00 pm AWST on Monday 28 November 2022. All eligible entries received by the Shire of East Pilbara through the online survey during the Promotional Period will be entered into the draw.
4. The judges will be two members of the Shire of East Pilbara management team.
5. The entries will be drawn, and the winner will be determined at the registered office of the Shire of East Pilbara, being Corner  Kalgan & Newman Drives, NEWMAN WA 6753, at 12.00 pm AWST on Monday 28 November 2022.
6. The Shire of East Pilbara’s decision as to the winner is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
7. The Prize is not transferable and cannot be converted or exchanged for any other prize or redeemed for cash. The Shire of East Pilbara may, in its discretion, substitute a prize or any part of the prize with a prize of equal value (subject to any direction or approval required from any relevant regulatory authority).
8. The winner will be informed by telephone or in person, and in writing (which may include by e-mail) within 2 days of the draw. Details of the winner shall be published on the Shire of East Pilbara’s website at www.eastpilbara.wa.gov.au. The winner must claim the prize within 14 days of the draw. In the event that the winner chooses not to accept the prize, they forfeit all and any claims to the prize, and a winner will be redrawn under the clause dealing with an unclaimed prize.

Unclaimed Prize

If a prize is not accepted by a winner or it otherwise goes unclaimed for 14 days after the draw date, a redraw may take place two business days after the prize is not accepted or otherwise goes unclaimed with notification of the winner and the timing for claiming and delivery of the prize otherwise occurring in accordance with the initial draw.

Promotional Act

In the event that they are a winner, the Entrant is not required to participate a promotion.

Personal Information Collection Statement

The Shire of East Pilbara collects personal information in order to conduct the Promotion. The Shire of East Pilbara is bound by The State Records Act 2000 and our record keeping plan that has been approved by the State Records Commission.
