The Newman Junior Rodeo Day is a special community event hosted by Karlayura Rodeo Inc., dedicated to encouraging and showcasing young riders in a safe, supportive, and family‑friendly environment.
This intimate afternoon celebrates our youth competitors, community, and the spirit of learning, confidence, and connection. Please note: This is an alcohol‑free event. No licensed bar will operate at the Junior Rodeo.
What to Expect at the 2026 Junior Rodeo:
✔ Dedicated Junior Rodeo Events – From barrel racing to steer riding, breakaway roping and more, our juniors take centre stage. Watch young riders showcase their skills, courage, and the incredible partnership between horse and rider.
✔ Family‑Focused Atmosphere – A relaxed, welcoming environment designed for families and community members to come together.
✔ Food Vans on Site – Enjoy a selection of local food vans offering tasty bites and refreshments throughout the afternoon.
✔ Celebrating Local Youth – Supporting the next generation of Pilbara cowboys and cowgirls as they learn, grow, and shine.

Event Awareness & Safety Information This is an outdoor event and will proceed in most weather conditions.
Please come prepared for sun, dust, wind, and Pilbara weather. The event may include loud noise, live animals, and small crowd gatherings.
Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times. Event organisers reserve the right to refuse entry or remove patrons for unsafe or inappropriate behaviour. Conditions of entry apply.
