Newman Aquatic Centre is an oasis in the middle of the Pilbara and is a popular destination for residents and visitors of Newman.
With a 50m 6-lane pool and separate Toddler Pool both surrounded by spacious areas of green lawn and plenty of shade – ideal for a full day of swimming, lounging or hosting your next event.

We are a recognised WATCH AROUND WATER aquatic centre, all children under 5 are free with a swimming adult. Any child under 10 must be accompanied by a responsible adult over the age of 16 and all children under 5 must be in arms reach of the adult at all times.

The Newman Aquatic Centre offers a 50m six-lane outdoor pool with depths ranging from 1.1m to 3.52m, equipped with stairs, ladders, and an accessibility hoist, alongside a separate toddler pool. The pools are surrounded by expansive green lawns and ample shaded areas, providing a comfortable environment for relaxation and recreation. The facility is open year-round, with the water temperature adjusted seasonally to ensure a pleasant swimming experience. The centre also offers equipment hire, including inflatables and mats, to enhance the swimming experience. When you're looking to escape the heat and enjoy a peaceful day by the pool, the Newman Aquatic Centre is the place to be!

Newman Swim School
Newman Aquatic Centre also offers a range of swimming lessons for infants through to adults, offering Education Department swimming lessons throughout the school terms for local primary students and VACSWIM through the school holidays, Newman Aquatic Centre has its own Royal Life Saving Society WA endorsed swim school Newman Swim School offering community members an opportunity to further develop their swimming and aquatic safety skills, with our AUSTSWIM and/or RLS Qualified swimming instructors.
Newman Swim School encourages everyone in the community to develop essential life skills through education and awareness around the aquatic environment. Our learn-to-swim program follows the Royal Life Saving Society of WA’s Swim and Survive program and caters for all ages and abilities from babies to adults.
Living in a rural setting with dams, rivers, lakes and ocean, makes learning to swim imperative to keep our children safe. Newman Swim School will give your child confidence and allow them to have fun in the water.
We run weekly swimming lessons year-round the school year for all ages, from babies through to adults.
