The Shire of East Pilbara is a well-established Local Government Authority in Western Australia, which services the town sites of Newman, Marble Bar, Nullagine and local communities.

We now seek enthusiastic and motivated individuals to fill the position of Group Fitness Instructor (Casual) at the Newman Recreation Centre. Candidates will form part of the recruitment pool that we can access now and in the future. In this position you will be responsible for providing high quality customer services through the delivery of group fitness classes and other fitness related activities at the Newman Recreation Centre.

To be successful with your application you will have a current accredited Fitness Instructor Certificate III or GEL, a current Applied First Aid Certificate and relevant Les Mills Certification or other relevant certification. You will have the ability to safely use a wide range of fitness and gym equipment and the ability to maintain this equipment, along with proven self-management, time management and organisational skills.

This position is classified at the hourly rate of $36.35 per hour (inclusive of 25% casual loading). Additional benefits include eligibility for long service leave, professional development and Fitness Instructors' ability (who run three or more classes per week) to use the relevant Fitness Centre facilities and group fitness classes at no cost to maintain their required fitness and competency level. All other casual Aerobics Instructors will receive a 50% reduction on entry into group fitness classes.
