Australian Citizenship ceremonies are held at the Shire for residents who wish to become Australian citizens. Citizenship ceremonies have an important symbolic role because they formally welcome new citizens from many cultures into the Australian family.
The ceremony is a formal part of the citizenship process with a person becoming an Australian citizen on the date he or she attends the citizenship ceremony and makes the Pledge of Commitment to Australia.
The Shire of East Pilbara places high importance on Australian citizenship and hosts ceremonies throughout the year, in particular on days of significance to Australia such as Australia Day (26 January) and Australian Citizenship Day (17 September).
For all enquiries regarding Australian Citizenship Ceremonies please contact the Shire of East Pilbara on ( 08) 9175 8000 or email firstname.lastname@example.org . Please note that the Shire of East Pilbara only deals with Citizenship Ceremonies and is unable to provide specific advise on becoming an Australian Citizen.
