Shire encourages community to participate in local design competition

12/04/2019
2019 #shoWcAse in Pixels is the design competition formerly known as the Banners in the Terrace Competition.

The annual exhibition of artwork from Local Governments will be displayed in a new format and venue this year – on the iconic digital tower at the heart of Yagan Square in Perth City. 2019.

Traditionally, the artwork, in the form of physical banners, were hung on the poles along St Georges and Adelaide Terrace. This year, WALGA has the opportunity to display digital artwork designs on the 45-metre high tower at Yagan Square, which features a circular screen with 14 columns, representing the 14 Noongar language groups. This new format of display means our participants are no longer restricted to PVC canvas - creativity is encouraged.

The best design, will win the opportunity to have their work submitted by the Shire for display on the 45 metre tower in Perth.

We are encouraging anyone to get involved and take part.

Contact the Community Wellbeing team on 9175 8000 to receive your design entry form and registration number.

Please read the attached information pack as the competition is running differently this year

Submissions are due 20th May 2019
