Let's Thank Our East Pilbara Volunteers

The Shire of East Pilbara’s annual Thank a Volunteer Day celebrations will take place in Newman and Marble Bar on December 5th, in appreciation of the effort they make to serve the community and make the East Pilbara a better place to live.
“Our volunteers are worth their weight in gold.  They share their time and talents willingly and it’s crucial to let them know they are appreciated and valued.  We simply could not have the amazing breadth of events and activities that exist without the work of our volunteers," said Shire President Lynne Craigie.

"If you know someone who volunteers their time to make a difference in our community, can I encourage you to contact the Shire so together we can ensure that this person/s is recognised," she added.

The event is open to all local volunteers. Sporting Clubs and Community Groups are encouraged to send a list of their volunteers that they would like recognised with a personalised certificate by contacting  Ann-Marie Maddocks on 9175 8000 or on events@eastpilbara.wa.gov.au
Thank a Volunteer Day event is made possible by funding from the Department of Communities and will be held at the Square in Newman and the Marble Bar Civic Centre. For more information please contact Ann-Marie Maddocks on 08 9175 8000 or email events@eastpilbara.wa.gov.au
